AMD64 build missing file #238

Building mpide on amd64 is missing one file;

cpp-chipKIT-linux-AMD64-20110511.zip

Hi @stu, for the immediate future, we aren't planning to provide an AMD64 build of the compiler. For now, please use the Linux IA32 build.

A version of Avrdude 64 bit is available. That helps.

whats a 64bit avrdude (which has always been present) got to do with no 64bit compilers? the build script references the 64bit compiler zip, which is not present, so the build script fails. (simply copying the 32bit to whatever the ant script is looking for, will allow the build to continue).

64bit avrdude has nothing to do with it.

You are right these are separate issues. A 64 bit compatible build can be
made. There is a build target for it. If the 64 bit compiler becomes
available then it can be swapped in.
