I take it that the English and Spanish versions of the journal's reference format differ? It's not mentioned explicitly in http://grasasyaceites.revistas.csic.es/index.php/grasasyaceites/about/submissions#authorGuidelines

The reference format is the same for both languages. I thing in book chapter, the diference is in the word "in" (for english version) and "en" (for spanish version), but i'm not sure.

Okay, thanks.

Since you're submitting several styles, could you make sure they all follow our style guidelines? See https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Style-Requirements and the details of the failing Travis CI build. For example, the style currently doesn't validate because you used the "Chemistry" category, but this must be the lowercase "chemistry". The file name, style ID, self-link, and documentation-link also need to be fixed.

You can edit your current style by using the Edit button at https://github.com/cleberbarreto/styles/blob/patch-2/grasas_y_aceites.csl

thanks for the heads. I'll read the guidelines and correct problems in the file.

Great, you corrected most of the problems. You still have to add a license to the style, though. See point 5 in https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Style-Requirements .

Since you renamed the style, you can now use the Edit button at https://github.com/cleberbarreto/styles/blob/patch-2/grasas-y-aceites.csl

Thanks by the warning. I correct adding the right licence you told me. If there is any other, please tell me to correct as soon as possible.

Thanks! I made a few minor changes to your style: 06fdbac

To cover the localization differences between Spanish and US English, we could add a "dependent" CSL style for Spanish. (see http://citationstyles.org/downloads/specification.html#dependent-styles )
That doesn't currently work for Mendeley, though, since that program currently doesn't localize styles according to their "default-locale" values.

Is it better to create another file for spanish version (independent style)?

Owner

rmzelle commented Mar 4, 2014

No, this is something Mendeley should fix. Mendeley developers have said they will try to fix the style localization issue in one of the next few releases, though.

We will accept a dependent version of this style with the default-locale set to Spanish.

is there a tutorial to make dependent style? I don't know how to make it. :(
