While most experienced Emacs users don't generally use menus they are quite useful for new users. Just about every major mode defines a menu, so I think clojure-mode should be not exception.

+1 on this. Though if beginners have set up nrepl or slime, they might be confused by some of the menu entries, the commands for which will not hook into their slime/nrepl session.
Well, it's absolutely the same with lisp-mode and SLIME, so I guess we should not fret too much over that.
I don't run with menus, so I'll have to take your word for it.
