I just created one server-repo and multiple client-repos. Each client-repo was connected to a sub-dir of the server-repo, like this:

${serverRepoRoot}/client01/ <===> ${client01RepoRoot}/
${serverRepoRoot}/client02/ <===> ${client02RepoRoot}/
${serverRepoRoot}/client03/ <===> ${client03RepoRoot}/

I connected and synchronised first client01, then client02 and finally client03. In the end, there were empty directories (no files), but with empty sub-directories (!!!) like this:

...and so on.

The wrong directories were not re-uploaded to the server and I could delete them on the client without any problem. They should, however, not have been created at all!
