README

Update 2012_0430
=================================

The experimental code was moved from bin/scraper to
Local/Scraper.pm.

WebScrape version 0.10
=================================

All code has been written in bin/scraper, which is a prototype
for the code that will be in WebScrape.pm eventually. It now
fetches a page from a web site and extracts specific data from
that page.

It can use a local file instead of querying the web site, and
extract the data from it. There are two test scripts in the t/
subdirectory that rely on the static data file, which have been
useful during debugging.

WebScrape version 0.01
=================================

Go to a web site, grab HTML, and extract the data with a Perl regex.

### TBD

The README is used to introduce the module and provide instructions on
how to install the module, any machine dependencies it may have (for
example C compilers and installed libraries) and any other information
that should be provided before the module is installed.

A README file is required for CPAN modules since CPAN extracts the README
file from a module distribution so that people browsing the archive
can use it to get an idea of the module's uses. It is usually a good idea
to provide version information here so that people can decide whether
fixes for the module are worth downloading.

INSTALLATION

To install this module, run the following commands:

	perl Build.PL
	./Build
	./Build test
	./Build install
