• Creating an AWS instance
• Create an account on AWS and log into the console. From there click "Launch Instance"
• Choose an Amazon Machine Image. Ubuntu would work.
• Choose a configuration. The default will work.
• Review the instance and launch (this is a shortcut that skips a few steps).
• Select a key pair or create a new one (save the .pem in a safe place or in you key ring).
• Once your instance starts running, click "Connect".
• Follow the instructions to login to you instance via ssh using your key.
