This release is the first open source release of the module.

There have been some significant changes since Revolver 2.2.

  • Auto property mapping for commands: Command development is now simpler as arguments can be automatically mapped to properties of the command class using attributes. Refer to http://www.codeflood.net/revolver/extension/commands/ for details.
  • Command chaining: In the same fashion as sub-commands, commands can be chained forward, so the value of the previous command can be used in the next command. Refer to http://www.codeflood.net/revolver/usage/combiningcommands/ for details.
  • Script locator: The new script locator feature allows reading scripts from multiple locations. OOTB locators include from a content database and from the file system, so scripts can now be written and executed from disk. Refer to http://www.codeflood.net/revolver/configure/scriptlocator/ for details.
  • Cache command: The new cache command allows basic listing and searching in caches as well as clearing caches and individual entries.
  • Workflow command execution: The new wfc command allows listing the available workflow commands and executing them.
  • Aliases and binding: Core commands can no longer be rebound to different command names. Instead, more powerful aliases are supported which also allow setting arguments for the command in the alias. Refer to http://www.codeflood.net/revolver/usage/aliases/ for details.
  • Initialization scripts: The way in which session initialization scripts are located and executed has been updated so they can be read from any script locator. Refer to http://www.codeflood.net/revolver/configure/initscripts/ for details.
  • Sessions withstand app restart: By default Revolver contexts will be stored on disk so they can withstand app restarts and you don't lose your session context. Refer to http://www.codeflood.net/revolver/configure/persistcontext/ for details.
  • Various bug fixes.
