I had to merge manually, but I left out the MAP10 exit part. If you really want to fix this, I think the better option would be to put a red key into the exit room.
The entire setup was to prevent the player from escaping the battle with the Cacodemons and changing this means a severe alteration of how the map works. Putting a key in the exit room would mean that the player has to finish the puzzle before being able to get out again.
At the time I done the MAP12 change, it would only affect deathmatch games as there still wouldn't have been a red key to open the door in single-player or co-op. The change was done to prevent a softlock during deathmatch and to be consistent with the yellow side. Maybe I'll consider what you suggested and only make the door repeatable instead of changing its action type.
