NOTE : Mining software is often marked as false positive by anti-virus (AV) software, if that happens simply adding the software as an exception to your AV should solve the issue.

GPU Mining

NVIDIA GPU Mining

If you wish to mine using graphic cards designed by Nvidia, we highly recommend using ccminer tpruvot version as software of your choice. You can find it here - http://ccminer.org/
Windows download:- https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases.
After installing the software, you need to create your config file. It's content depends on whatever you want to solo mine, or use any of the mining pools that support Cognitio (you can find the list of official pools below). Simply open notepad and any other text editor and choose one of the settings below.

Solo mining

If you plan to mine solo without using any pool, use the config below:
ccminer-x64 -a skunk -o http://localhost:60677/ -u user -p password --coinbase-addr=YourAddress
pause
NOTE : If you are using ccminer version x86, replace "ccminer-x64" with "ccminer-x86".

For the config to work, you must replace the "user" and "password" with the credentials that are in you cognitio.conf file. "User" is the string after "rpcuser=", and password is the string after "rpcpassword=". After those two are changed accordingly to your Cognitio config file, you also must replace "YourAddress" with your Cognitio address - that's where the mining rewards will go.
After performing all the changes, simply save the file as mine.bat on Windows, or mine.sh on Linux. Simply run the file to start mining.

Pool mining

If you plan to mine within a mining pool, the config should look like this:
ccminer-x64 -a skunk -o stratum+tcp://POOLIPADDR:PORT -u YourAddress -p x
pause
NOTE : If you are using ccminer version x86, replace "ccminer-x64" with "ccminer-x86".
Replace "POOLIPADDR:PORT" with the details given by the pool of your choice, and "YourAddress" with your Cognitio address. After performing all the changes, simply save the file as mine.bat on Windows, or mine.sh on Linux. Run the file to start mining.
NOTE : Configuration file syntax might be different depending on the pool you are using. Please visit Mining Pool's website for more info.

AMD GPU Mining

To mine using graphic cards designed by AMD, we recommend using Prospector. You can download the software directly from the dev's github here : https://github.com/semtexzv/Prospector/releases. It comes as a single executable file, but after first launch it will create essential configuration files, so its recommended to place it in a separate folder. After that is done, simply launch the prospector executable file and wait until error massages start showing up in the console. Now you should simply turn the miner off, as the files required for proper configuration should be automatically created in the same directory.
Now it is time to actually edit the configuration file to match our needs. Open config.toml file in the text editor of your choice. All you should change in this file is:
cpu-coin = "sigt" - If you wish to CPU mine aswell, change xmr to sigt.
default-username = "18FcsT6g5FtrFwXiWsxCZ1M3fbKfdG531W" -Change the content of quotation marks to your Cognitio address.

[pools.sigt]
url = "stratum+tcp://skunk.eu.nicehash.com:3362/"
Change the content of quotation marks to the address given to you by the mining pool of your choice.

[cpu]
enabled = false - If you wish to mine on the CPU too, change "false" to true.
After the changes are done, simply save the config file run Prospector.
NOTE : Configuration file syntax might be different depending on the pool you are using. Please visit Mining Pool's website for more info.

Official Pools

CPU Mining (Not recommended)

Please remember, that Cognitio is using Skunk algorithm - mining using your CPU is not really viable option.

If you wish to mine using your CPU, we recommend cpuminer-opt, which can be found here: https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/
Windows download: https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/releases
Note : For the best performance the executable file you need to launch when using Windows OS depends on your CPU architecture. Please refer to cpuminer-opt dev's github for more details. Executable given in configurations below is just an example.

Solo mining

cpuminer-avx.exe -a skunk -o http://127.0.0.1:60677 -u user -p password --coinbase-addr=YourAddress
pause
For the config to work, you must replace the "user" and "password" with the credentials that are in you cognitio.conf file. "User" is the string after "rpcuser=", and password is the string after "rpcpassword=". After those two are changed accordingly to your Cognitio config file, you also must replace "YourAddress" with your Cognitio address - that's where the mining rewards will go.
After performing all the changes, simply save the file as mine.bat on Windows, or mine.sh on Linux. Run the file to start mining.

Pool mining

cpuminer-avx.exe -a skunk -o stratum+tcp://POOLIPADDR:PORT -u YourAddress -p x
NOTE : Configuration file syntax might be different depending on the pool you are using. Please visit Mining Pool's website for more info.
