Screen-scraping the Wikipedia article may be... well, fragile. Suggest maybe using the official source: http://www.iso.org/iso/country_codes/iso_3166_code_lists/country_names_and_code_elements.htm or in particular http://www.iso.org/iso/list-en1-semic-3.txt

Unfortunately, those are provided in ALL CAPS, so you'd have to case-translate them, maybe special-case words like "and", "of", "d'" and so on. Whether that's worth the effort is your call.
