File Manager UX thoughts #7539
The file manager in concrete5 today is unique from other similar list/detail interfaces. It uses right clicks to bring up a list of commands that launch modal overlays where as other UX (members, express, etc) tend to take you to a detail page that puts everything you need in one place.
After doing interviews with the community that uses concrete5, some common trends of frustration are clear:
The goal with the new model outlined below is to find a reasonably easy to implement cleanup and redesign to dramatically improve the user experience. We’re happy to plan for a version 3 complete rebuild as well, but this initial step is iterative “how can we improve this” for a version 2.
