A WordPress plugin to help Folksy sellers to manage their shop and drive traffic to their store from their blog or website.
This plugin currently works in just one direction, Folksy -> WordPress, but with intentions to work WordPress -> Folksy in due course. Folksy shop sections are converted into special categories, and Folksy shop items are converted into
Add options pages to specify shop name, etc. Build WordPress shortcodes or provide template tags to help with outputting items in themes? Mark items as no longer available if they do not show up in the Folksy feed. Download and attach images to items rather than facilitating hotlinking to Folksy's image CDN.
- Check images when updating an item to add new images and remove images which have been removed from Folksy.
Check items are still included in shop sections when updating them.
- Allow blog user to mark certain items as featured.
- Allow ordering of items (rather than just reverse-Folksy order).
- Proper admin area pages.
- Allow the addition of 3rd party external links (ie. to Etsy) to items.
Remove linked media items when unlocking the Folksy user.
Ths plugin currently uses Folksy's hidden JSON API to fetch data about shops and items. This appears to be discontinued in the new (currently 'beta') shops. Some functionality to fetch from HTML pages, but this needs expanding.
