Root page URL parameters give a 404 error

I do not know if this is a known issue or or wanted behavior: when you add a parameter to the root URL (e.g. http://mywebsite.com/?param=value), a 404 error appears as Contao do not seem to find the root page of the website.

Found on Contao 3.0.0 (but not in RC2 - not 100% sure about that).

Edit: the "add language to URL" option must be disabled to reproduce the error.

I cannot reproduce this in the Contao Online Demo (version 3.0.0)

Neither can I on contao.org.

After some tests, this is related to the "Add language to URL" option: when enabled, no problem; otherwise, 404.

Do I need to create a new issue with the details or did someone get the new info on how to reproduce it already?
