Watermark

process images for internet publication

This repository is a collection of small scripts I wrote for applying ImageMagick tools to my images prior to publication in the wild:

  • resize - Resizes an image to medium quality for web publication
  • watermark - Watermarks an image with a textual label
  • label - Labels an image at the bottom with a textual line.

A common workflow is to pipe them:

$ ./resize -m 480 <sample.jpg | ./watermark -a 20 -l 'MY\nWATERMARK' | ./label -l 'MY LABEL' >sample_publish.jpg

The above example transforms the following original picture sample.jpg:

To the following result sample_publish.jpg:

result image

All these effects and much much more can be achieved by mastering ImageMagick tools directly.
