It looks like it depends on Play Services:

This app appears to depend on Play Services, so it's not going to work without it. The app developers would need to implement the functionality without Play or at least provide a fallback. There's little that CopperheadOS can do about this. It isn't ever going to have Play Services.

I just tried running the latest webex 9.8 on latest copperhead os 2017.02.07 without gapps and with gapps and bother cases webex crashes. I tried installing same version of webex on linage os 2017.02.06 WITHOUT gapps and everything works fine. So, either linage os is including non-free software that makes webex work without gapps or @thestinger diagnosis of webex depending on gapps is not accurate. There is clearly something that copperhead os is doing that is killing webex that other AOSP os do not do. It does not seem to be a gapps dependency issue. Please reopen the ticket.

Open Webex join a meeting. When connected, select the option "Connect using Internet". App restarts.
