On mac, ctrl commands refuse to work - either with the actual ctrl, as the cmd

As a mac developer, do you have any idea of how could it be fixed ?

I just tried the stuff on Snow Leopard (a bit old though...) under Safari 5.1.7. Seems to work for me with ctrl key except for the ctrl + space binding (which is by the way linked to Spotlight by default).

Unfortunately, I do not have Apple hardware to try to fix this. Any suggestions are welcome!

Is ctrl + D shortcut in the same case ?

It could fit well to replace ctrl+space

We could use the event.metaKey to detect the CMD button instead of CTRL on OSX.

isCtrlPressed = event.ctrlKey or event.metaKey

What do you think ?

edit: apparently this is a bit buggy. The event.metaKey is true only for keydown events in Chrome (source: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3902635/how-does-one-capture-a-macs-command-key-via-javascript)

Is it solved ?

Ok let's close it. Thank you.
