SG16 again reviewed a draft of P3951R1 during its 2026-03-11 meeting along with P3412R3. The following poll was taken.

• Poll 1: Interpolated strings should be usable in C-like C++ code in contexts suitable for pure C (if C were to have interpolated strings).

Much of the discussion during this meeting concerned lexical scanning of interpolated strings and how extraction field delimiters are recognized in the presence of UCNs and digraphs. Concerns remain regarding stringification, macros, and the phases of translation. SG16 will continue further review in a future meeting.
