I am attempting to use this module on our puppet master however catalog compilation fails with an error as shown below.

Error: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 500 on SERVER: Server Error: Evaluation Error: Error while evaluating a Virtual Query, Could not autoload puppet/type/firewalld_zone: Could not autoload puppet/type/firewalld_rich_rule: /etc/puppetlabs/code/environments/ovirt_firewalld/forge_modules/firewalld/lib/puppet_x/firewalld/property/rich_rule_action.rb:10: unknown type of %string
if value.keys.sort != %i[action type]
^ at /etc/puppetlabs/code/environments/ovirt_firewalld/forge_modules/firewalld/manifests/init.pp:249:29 on node mdct-ovirt-node-production1.example.com
Warning: Not using cache on failed catalog
Error: Could not retrieve catalog; skipping run

This is happening with puppetserver version 2.8.1.

I'm experiencing the same issue and trying to track it down. My best guess so far is it is complaining about the rich rules hash being undefined, but I get the same error when supplying a define rich rule.
If I figure it out I will report back. This is open Puppet 4.10 using the Foreman ENC.

@mcclurken It appears that this can be resolved by running the puppet generate command to update the defined types for the environment. For example, the following command should prevent this error from happening.

ssh root@puppet puppet generate types --environment production

Thanks for the tip. I ran the command on all environments and it generated the firewalld types. Unfortunately it did not resolve the problem. I put it in Puppet Enterprise and it ran without any modification. So I'm left puzzled. I wish I had tried it before writing a bunch of manifests to use it.
