If I open mp4 file via VLC, it will take longer to buffer than mpv. And then the file size increase.
mpv won't cause the problem. It's likely that this is a VLC bug. But I can not reproduce this in veracrypt.

The video file is not corrupted. I compare these two files and the latter one has some appended bytes at the end.

Any clue?
Thanks.

I also having #155 issue when copying this file. But retry once will work. I got the same checksum after copying. So they are not related?

Ok this is weird. Does this happen every time and for every video file? Dis you try the same thing in an unencrypted file system, say ext3/4? What exactly was happening when you tried to copy it? Issue 155 describes multiole things.

This is the error I got. Retry will ask whether to override existing partial file.

I can not reproduce this with only one video file in repo. Opening file is normal.
But if I put two file into the repo. I got the error above. Then I retry, and play the smaller one. Both of the file are larger.

The smaller one become the same size of original larger one(700MB). And the larger one become even larger(1.7GB) even though I didn't touch it.

Something wrong with fuse? The encrypted repo is larger too.

I couldn't reproduce this. But I just fixed a race condition that seems likely to have been the culprit, see #224. Can you try a cryfs build with that fix applied and see if it still occurs?

I'm assuming this is fixed. Please reopen if it isn't.
