If I'm right, once an user has issued an ID claim, there's no way to resend it until the delegate approves it or clears it. This is not helping some highly demanded delegates in organizing their claims, and besides could potentially constitute a serious problem in the case of incommunication (extreme case: sender / recipient are blacklisted).

It would be necessary to set an expiration date for the claims or, at the discretion of the WST, devise a more clever way to guarantee that claims are not blocked forever.

I like the idea of an expiration date for claims. How about after 1 month we automatically clear the claim and email the claimer, the delegate, and the delegate's senior delegate?

Making this a high priority issue, as there are a number of issues about pending claims, and this seems to be a good first issue to tackle a good part of the problem.

Any takers?

Please see also @TimMcMahon and @cubewhiz comments over there.
They suggest an automatic reminder for pending WCA ID claims after 7 days, with the senior in cc.

@viroulep are you aware if this issue has been resolved?

I have actually no idea!
I'd expect the number of WCA ID claims to be quite low now compared to back then; it may be worth to ask around if this is still a relevant concern :)
