Commit 709cf76 deprecated USE_SSLEAY, as curl since long isn't compatible with the SSLeay library. This removes the few leftovers that were omitted in the less frequently used platform targets.

The Appveyor builds fell over on tests 653 and 559 which is hardly related to the patch.

Agreed. I retriggered the build anyway in case you want to see the results, although it's not necessary IMO.
