tests: show mismatch failures directly in terminal output #5644

So that failures will be displayed in the terminal, as it makes test failures
visually displayed easier and faster.

I am probably a bit in advance... Anyway, to make things clear and because you have modified 2 files, I think this PR deserves a new title :)?
