Vibrate effects for the Pebble Smartwatch that occur every five minutes. For a tangible effect of time. Inspired by the Durr watch.

This watchapp does not disable other vibration, so if you want just this vibration, disable vibration from notifications in settings.

Known issues/incomplete functionality:

  • The Pebble API's vibrate functions automatically turn on the backlight. So the backlight also comes on every five minutes, instead of just the vibration.
  • The Pebble has no concept of services, so if you don't actively have the watchapp pulled up, the vibrations won't happen.
  • The app_timer_register() function only works (again, see above) while the app is open. So there is no way to have constant 5 minute vibrations without the app open, only using the watch. A simple workaround would be a phone app sending notifications to the pebble, or a pebble companion app on the phone doing the same.
