It would be really useful to have a way to catch/handle signals in Cython. In fact the try...except syntax explored in this wiki page would be great.

There's cysignals for that purpose.

I'm not sure if it's really better to make signals a language feature, nor if try-except-finally is a good way to handle signals. They can often be (pre-)processed out of order and may or may not have an impact on the control flow. try-except-finally always changes the control flow.
