Robert (@robertwb), per offline discussion, opening this tracker. Summary:

Class A
  overridenFunction

Class B : public A

Class C: public B
  overridenFunction
    A.overridenFunction // This works
B.overridenFunction // This doesn't work, but is what one would usually like

The issue causes a "Compiler crash in AnalyseExpressionsTransform".
