.pkg extension has special meaning on Mac #16

looks like .pkg was a bad choice for the "new" package directory ... probably need to come up with a different extension to oavoid confusion on Mac...

Suggestions?

That's a good choice ... but maybe something a bit shorter? ... I started my career using short names and extensions so I have a bad habit of preferring 'var' over 'variable' and 'i' over 'index' ...
