This PR implements and uses a bespoke slider widget instead of the builtin range input. Why? To have something that looks nicer, responds to wheel events sensibly, and is easier to set up. Also, as a way for me to learn the basics of web UI work, instead of figuring it out on something more complicated.

I did my best to stick with widely-implemented web features (HTML, the DOM, JavaScript, etc.). Nonetheless, this seems to have run across some kind of incompatibility with or bug in Safari (unclear as yet). Safari already wasn't working, so at least it's status quo on that front. Nonetheless, it'd be nice to figure out what's up with it.

Safari seems to be trolling be by being inconsistent about just what is reloaded when you hit “reload." In fact, the code as written seems to work just fine in Safari…at least right now.
