Source Control in Redcar

Redcar currently supports Subversion and Git version control systems. Source control is available from the menu under Project > Source Control.

  • Toggle Changes Tree: Opens or closes a tree view of all modified and added files in the project directory. From this view one can delete, ignore, add, index, and commit files. Double clicking on a modified file shows a diff with the base revision.
  • Toggle Commits Tree: Opens or closes a tree view of all commits which are unpushed (in Git only)
  • Create Commit: Create a new commit from indexed/added files
  • Save Commit: Commits the currently open commit to the version control system.

Additional commands are available from the Source Control trees' context menus.
