Connect DAppNode via Wireless interface
By default DAppNode is connected via ethernet and uses first available wireless interface as a hotspot, so it can't be used to connect it. If you want to use such interface to connect your DAppNode follow this steps.
Assuming you have connected DAppNode via ethernet, install the required packages:
sudo apt update sudo apt install -y iwd iw
Grab the wireless interface name with the following command:
# docker logs DAppNodeCore-wifi.dnp.dappnode.eth 2>/dev/null | grep "Attaching" Attaching interface wlp2s0 to container
So the interface name would be
wlp2s0 in this case.
Configure the interface adding the lines in
allow-hotplug wlp2s0 iface wlp2s0 inet dhcp wpa-ssid MyWifiNetwork wpa-psk s:MyPassw0rd
The wpa-ssid specifies the network name (SSID)
The wpa-psk line should be
s: followed by the password itself.
Also, comment out any ethernet section if you want to disable it:
# The primary network interface # allow-hotplug enp0s31f6 # iface enp0s31f6 inet dhcp
After rebooting, the DAppNode should be connected via wireless interface.
