The issue discussed in #549 causes compaction issues, but otherwise seems to allow data to be read from the affected extent. In Seq 4.0, we'll provide a --repair option with the seq compact command that just copies the data to a new extent file and deletes the old one.

E.g.:

seq compact --repair

Note, this requires some free disk space to make the new copy of the data.
