  1. Fix auto migration specs for jruby

It's still a mistery why this didn't fail with other VMs!

  1. Work-around to differences between JDBC and C drivers

    * JDBC silently changes the column name that is returned from "value" to
"variable_value", while everything else from C drivers to the MySQL
client itself agree that the column is "value".

  1. Revert "Use a SELECT query to retrieve the session variable"

    This reverts commit faea4c2.

    * This commit works-around some problems with JRuby/JDBC returning
incorrect results for the previous query. However, if it's truly a
bug it should be fixed upstream rather than locally in this code.

Plus the query I'm using here excludes people using MySQL 5.0 and
      below, which is not acceptable.

I (or someone) need to revisit the actual problem with the code
I'm about to revert back to under JRuby and try to isolate the cause
of the invalid value being returned.

  1. Revert "Removing default for Property::Object (MySQL TEXT can not hav…

    …e default) property."

    This reverts commit 49bf3f9.

    * Code causes a regression since all Property objects inherit from
Property::Object, and their default value is removed by this commit.

    * Use the latest activesupport gem instead of git
    * Use the rspec-1.3.1 gem instead of my fork
    * Use jeweler ~> 1.4.0 to prevent 1.5.1 for now
    * Use github http clone URLs

  1. Remove the metric_fu quality dependency and tasks

We've found too many issues with having metric_fu
and its minions as our development dependency and
it's easier to just drop them then to figure out how
to fix it. If one wants to run code quality checks
on the codebase it's obviously still possible but
you need to handle deps installation on your own.

    What were the problems?

    1)
with metric_fu along with roodi etc in the gemfile
bundling takes forever (ok, it takes about 40-60
    minutes)

    2)
if we leave only metric_fu as the dep (which depends
on roodi etc. anyway) we will get latest versions
of the gems which unfortunatelly results with a weird
error when running semipublic specs so we need to
pin the versions which gets us back to the problem #1

  1. Store DataMapper::MigrationRunner#migrations in a class variable

Fixes an issue where migrations don't get run at
    all in dm-rails rake tasks.

Further explanation can be found in the related
ticket on LH. This is weird. Maybe it has to do
something with the way rails loads the rake tasks
and invokes our stuff. No idea ...
