I'm unfortunately not aware of any decisions on that matter.

Art. 12(1) GDPR says (emphasis mine):

The controller shall take appropriate measures to provide any information referred to in Articles 13 and 14 and any communication under Articles 15 to 22 and 34 relating to processing to the data subject in a concise, transparent, intelligible and easily accessible form, using clear and plain language […].

In my opinion, one could reasonably interpret that to mean that they have to answer in the languages they offer their services in, but to know for sure, someone would have to submit a complaint to test that.

That has just changed. I'm quoting from the EDPB's new guidelines on the right of access (para. 140):

The information should always be given in a plain and clear language. A controller that offers a service in a country should also offer answers in the language that is understood by the data subjects in that country.
