DataValueTables.jl

Project Status: WIP – Initial development is in progress, but there has not yet been a stable, usable release suitable for the public. Build Status Build status DataValueTables codecov

Overview

Tools for working with tabular data in Julia.

Alternatives

DataValueTables.jl is not the only julia initiative for tabular data, there are many other packages that have similar goals. Take a look at DataFrames.jl, DataTables.jl, IndexedTables.jl and TypedTables.jl. If I missed other packages, please let me know and I'll add them to this list!

Installation

You can add the package with:

Pkg.clone("https://github.com/davidanthoff/DataValueTables.jl.git")

Getting started

To get started, take a look at the documentation.

Getting help

Please ask any usage question in the Data Domain on the julia Discourse forum. If you find a bug or have an improvement suggestion for this package, please open an issue in this github repository.

History

DataValueTables.jl is a fork of DataTables.jl, which is a fork of DataFrames.jl. Yes, we really like to create table types in julia!

The main change in DataValueTables.jl relative to previous packages is that it uses the DataValue type from the DataValues.jl package to represent missing data.
