paste from external app after cua rectangle

after using cua-rectangle (w/ deletion of marked rectangle),
Command-V fails to paste a newly copied piece of text from another app (Chrome here)
until we do Command-C once in Aquamacs.

I don't use cue-mode regularly, and I was not able to reproduce this from what I understand about it.

Any details on making it happen would be great. Leaving it open for the moment, to be looked at sometime after 3.6/4.0 (or sooner if there's more info).
