Prerequisite

  • I'm using the latest version.
  • All website modules are up to date.
  • This is not temporary server issue.

System information
Windows 10

Describe the bug
From some days now the site www.webtoons.com is not workin properly (for me?), when I try to obtain manga info, also from manga that are already on my downloads list, I obtain no preview and under manga title appear N/A.

Additional context
All the other sites that I use are working fine the problem appear only on www.webtoons.com, I have also tried a freshly installed copy of FM2 but nothing changed.

Log
Example: https://www.webtoons.com/en/romance/truebeauty/list?title_no=1436

There's another user that has the same issue but it's still works fine for me.
Please provide the log, fmd.log file in your FMD folder.

Also could you do this: edit WebToons.lua file and put HTTP.Document.SaveToFile("webtoons.html") like this
image
save it, open FMD and then load webtoons link.
there will be webtoons.html file in your FMD folder, upload it here

Thanks for the log.
For the time being, you need to do cookies workaround.
If you use Edge/Chrome:

  • Open any title -> press F12 -> select Network tab
  • In the Name section, select the first one -> see Headers tab and search for cookie and user-agent, copy all of it
  • In FMD, go to Options -> Websites -> Advanced -> WebToons change Enabled option to True, paste the cookie and user-agent from browser
    webtoons
  • Then press Apply

Ok! Doing as you suggested all is working fine again! So was it something from webtoons side? And, more importamt, from now on I will always have to do this thing or in a future update you will be able to correct this issue?
Let me know and naturally thx a lot for your disponibility!

It's from webtoons side and only affected some areas because it's works fine on my end without doing cookies workaround.
I don't think I myself able to fix this, need someone else more knowledgeable. So you have to rely with this workaround for the time being.

That other user also pops in to say thank you.
I managed to get it working again too after reading your instructions.

* Then press Apply

This should be pinned or something.
Thank you so much !

Yeah it should.
But because there's no active dev anymore I won't bother.

Haiya... I don't wanna jump a fork again into the next unknown realm. Unfortunately FMD2 is pretty much unmatched and almost perfect. It could only be better by being able to be put into a Linux docker container. (I know I know...) Other than that... Lovely application.
