Just downloaded latest version, and it crashes randomly (ctrl+s, click on table ...)

On DB2 I have the following.. after I update a field it crashes:

2019-10-07 12:03:44.603 - SQL Warning (DataSource: ###; Code: 4223; State: null): Origination unknown: [10228][11541][4.11.77] Si sono verificate delle eccezioni di sicurezza durante il caricamento del driver. ERRORCODE=4223, SQLSTATE=null

I also have a crash. I can simply reproduce the crash by doing a select, and then editing a column in the grid, then save it (ctrl+s). --> CRASH

DBeaver 6.2.2, DB-Connection DB2.

On 6.2.1 it does not crash, doing the same.

  • Could you send full log (hs_err_*). There should be a bit more information.
  • What is your OS version?

@shivan Still can't reproduce this. Perhaps it depends on Windows updates version.
Could you try to delete (or rename) folder jre in DBeaver installation directory? It will switch to the default Java (1.8 as I see from the log). Maybe this will help.

@serge-rider yes, that solves the problem. It does not crash anymore. Retried with recovering jre, which crashes again then.

So the bundled Java 11 is the problem? :)

i test the workaround and the client crash a little bit later, but crash.
Windows 10 Pro 1803 (17134.1040)
i search for the hs_err_* files but in the %temp% i found no file.

Most likely it is related to new Eclipse platform (2019-09) migration.
I'll revert to previous Eclipse version unless I'll find some solution.

@shivan I've reproduced this bug on Java 1.8 (it happens less frequent but still happens). So it is not Java 11-related.

Reverting to Eclipse 2019-06 solves the problem.

We'll probably release hotfix version with Eclipse 2019-06. At the moment I don't see any other solutions/workarounds.

It is 100% reproducible when inline data editor is open and user clicks on bottom-left Save button (using mouse).

I've built EA version with fix (https://dbeaver.io/files/ea/)
Could you test it?

It also crashes when using inline editor. When I change some data and, to save, press F5 -> Click Yes on popup. And the app simply crashes. I'd changed the jre to my system default 1.8 but that didn't work either. Will revert to eclipse 2019-06 & recheck. Let me know if anything is required from me that can help further. Not posting my hs_err file as it contains other system info.

@alkeshpradhan we've already published hotfix version today. Just re-download 6.2.2 version from dbeaver.io.

This version 6.2.2 sucked me today when I needed to run an update script in production database. Right after I run it, this damn version closed abruptly and I got shocked for a moment.

For the heck's sake I did it in a transaction and any commit didn't occur (I set it to be manual). I've just updated the version to 6.2.3, let's see what happens tomorrow... Because I'll need to run this script.
