Hi

I've been mooting a single Dockerfile that creates a notebooks+postgres+mongo build to replace a legacy VM (and a legacy docker-compose setup) for teaching in a data management and analysis course and this looks really handy, so thanks for sharing it.

Have you looked at a configuration tuned for used with Binderhub at all (the main reason I'm interested in a single container build)?

PS I just checked - current build runs fine -

!echo redspot | sudo -S service postgresql start

from sqlalchemy import create_engine

PGCONN='postgresql://postgres:postgres@localhost:5432'

engine = create_engine(PGCONN)

from pandas import read_sql_query as psql

psql("SELECT table_schema,table_name FROM information_schema.tables \
    ORDER BY table_schema,table_name LIMIT 3;", engine)
