Since the commit 35ae1fe I get an error whenever I try to push:

/tmp/buildpack_1hw3dt6qy5023/bin/../support//update_config:42:in `|': can't convert String into Array (TypeError)
    from /tmp/buildpack_1hw3dt6qy5023/bin/../support//update_config:42:in `merge'
    from /tmp/buildpack_1hw3dt6qy5023/bin/../support//update_config:68:in `<main>'
! Heroku push rejected, failed to compile Multipack app

Tried to get through the code, but other than noting the commit, I'm not sure what the fix is.

@toddgardner do all of your buildpacks which specify addons in bin/release do it like this?

---
addons:
  - shared-database:5mb

My .buildpacks is:

https://github.com/heroku/heroku-buildpack-nodejs.git#versions
https://github.com/heroku/heroku-buildpack-python.git

(not sure why I'm actually using the versions branch, have to look into it)

Nodejs doesn't declare addons, but the python one does like:

https://github.com/heroku/heroku-buildpack-python/blob/master/bin/release

(My project is detected as Python/Django)

I think this fixes it: loku/heroku-buildpack-multi@9994645

(BUILDPACK_URL=https://github.com/loku/heroku-buildpack-multi.git#env-merge-bugfix)

That fix wasn't quite enough, because String#to_a doesn't exist (Ruby version issue?).

This seems to work: loku/heroku-buildpack-multi@4df46fb

Hello. I apologize for the delayed response. I am currently declaring issue bankruptcy. If this issue still applies to you please feel free to re-open and explain. Thanks :)
