Thanks for the feature suggestion! It looks like there are several python modules that parse RTF documents with python; pyrtf-ng and pyth seem the most promising although its unclear how actively supported they are. There is also the option of parsing the text from the command line.

I unfortunately am not likely to have time to incorporate this feature any time soon, but if anyone else has bandwidth, here are some decent instructions on adding support for a new file type.

Thanks for the suggestion, @afrozekhan504. This will be incorporated in the next textract release, hopefully by the end of the week.
