This is a full operating system image that you can burn to a well known branded min 8GB class 10 micro SD card or to a fast USB memory stick.
Extract the image file from the .gz file and in Debian type:
sudo cp xxx.img /dev/sdX
Where xxx is the image file name and X is your memory device. Use the dmesg command to see it. In windows you can use balenaEtcher to raw-write the image file to an SD Card.
Wait the Amlogic device to boot to the terminal (it takes 6 minutes to enlarge to a 32GB partition) and give a new root password. Follow instructions. Everything works except analog audio out, reboot and suspend. Enable WiFi by clicking the networking icon in the top panel, click Wireless, enable Wifi and double click the WiFi router name to input the password. Set the local time with: sudo timedatectl set-timezone Continental/City. Type about:memory to the Firefox address bar and click Minimize memory usage. Use one tab only with Firefox.
