OpenCV experiments

These are a few simple OpenCV experiments

Wasserzaehler/Water counter

An attempt at counting revolutions of a red hand on a water usage meter.

Setup

Place the PI-Camera in front of the water usage meter. It should produce a clear image, without reflections over the red hand showing the liter count.

CURRENTLY THE PI CAMERA ISN’T SUPPORTED. OOPS

Calibration

User the calibration-tool to create a working configuration. Invoke like this:

$  wasserzaehler-calibration --movie testdata/wasserzaehler/wasserzaehler.mov  --scale .3 

The output is a JSON-configuration. To tweak an existing configuration, append

--settings testdata/wasserzaehler/settings.json

Usage

Just run

wasserzaehler --movie testdata/wasserzaehler/wasserzaehler.mov --settings testdata/wasserzaehler/settings.json

The output will be an increasing number of revolutions. If things are working.
