We're unable to reproduce this. Have you turned off GUI Shapes from the Visibility Filters menu under the little eye icon in the toolbar, perhaps?

All visibility filters were turned on. Incidently, textured boxes display correctly, colored boxes are not filled.

Following a hunch, I disabled the dedicated graphics card in my laptop and used the onboard graphics only. The filled box is then displayed correctly. So the issue seems to be caused by something in that area.

Can you verify that you have the latest driver for your graphics card? (Radeon Pro 560)

It's a dual-boot iMac. The drivers are from standard Bootcamp package. On the macOS side, the boxes are filled with colour in the editor as they should be. I'll see what I can do to update the Windows drivers. EDIT: According to AMD website, I have the latest drivers for Bootcamp for this iMac model.
