Resource dumping

YAT allows save untranslated translations (strings, assets, textures). In this wiki such process is referred to as asset dumping. This useful when creating translations and acquiring raw, untranslated textures.

Enabling dumping

To enable dumping, add the following line to the configuration file:

Dump=<Assets>

In place of <Assets>, specify either one or multiple (separated by |) options:

Option Description
None Dump nothing
Strings Dumps strings that YAT fails to translate. Also dumps a level where the string was encountered.
Assets Dumps asset texture as a PNG file. The name of the file is the same that YAT uses to find the translated asset.
Textures Dumps textures as a PNG file. The name of the file is the same that YAT uses to find the translated texture.
TexSprites Dumps a texture that is used in some UIs. This just a special type of texture. The name of the file is the same that YAT uses to find the translated asset.

For instance, using Strings | Assets will dump strings and assets.

Dump folder

If dumping is enabled, all assets are dumped into UnityInjector\Config\TranslationDumps into separate folders depending on item that is being dumped.
