Just working on getting something running on my own machine. While reading the docs noticed

Taking it one step further I found that in my browser console http://hello.derbyjs.com/ returns Internal Server Error.

thought you guys might want to know.

cheers

All of the examples are broken?

It looks that way. You might try them yourself to make sure it's not about my connection or DNS or something

http://directory.derbyjs.com
http://sink.derbyjs.com

all return internal server error

Same here. Even the default demo from installing derby from NPM is broken. It's not realtime at all! I have to reload the page in order to change the welcome message.

The sockets or realtimeness is not activating at all. Am I missing a library or something? Right now Derby is totally unusable for me.

I was trying to get derby running on my local machine and ran into several
hurdles that seemed to be conflicting dependent libs (racer, browserify,
uglify - maybe?). Not sure if that's what's happening to your guys' sample
apps as well, but it might be something to look into.

Certainly, my failure mode was not quite so catastrophic.

good luck

and happy new year.

And still down. Would be great if they could be revived again..! They are the place for newcomers to check out Derby, both as in 'first impression' but also as guides/examples on how to build applications with Derby.
