Privacy Policy

Short version: This blog does not track you.

Long version: This blog respects user privacy and does
not track any personally identifiable information
(PII) and does not use any cookies to track users. This is just a blog,
not a social media app. You should be able to read it without
sacrificing your personal privacy and I make every effort as a developer
to respect that privacy.

Site analytics are captured via
Plausible, which
does not use cookies, does not track personal information, and does not
use any kind of persistent identifier. For example, visiting this site
once and then returning the next day, or using two different devices
will be attributed as two distinct users, with no means of associating
the two users are actually the same person. Plausible is
fully GDPR
and CCPA-compliant. I actually pay directly for Plausible because of
its privacy-first design
and avoid free services like Google Analytics which share user
information with third parties or advertisers, even though it would be
cheaper for me to do so.

These analytics are used to measure interest in
particular blog posts and overall site performance. They are
not used for advertisements or individual user
tracking. This site is not intended to make money, it is not monetized,
and it does not abuse user privacy for financial benefit. I also
personally hate popups and will do everything in my power to make this
site protect your privacy and avoid keeping user information such that
it does not need a permission prompt in the first place.
