can you provide sample example how nodeselector and tolerations should look like here in values.yaml file?

this is an issue if specifying values.yaml file

this particular file is where issue is alpha-statefulset.yaml

honestly u can just try this command and modify the values.yaml file and you will get same error

helm install dgraph -f values.yaml --namespace dgraph dgraph/dgraph

its pretty easy to replicate

also i even cloned the whole repo and have all files locally and tried this

helm install dgraph --namespace dgraph .

and getting this error

all i changed are the persistence to false, and added nodeSelector and tolerations and also reduced replicaCount

ok here is values.yaml file but not sure it will work for you as is..because u may not have the same nodeSelector and toleration i added...you can just try to simply use your own values.yaml...this issue occurs when specifying the values.yaml file so its a very easy to replicate issue

what this tells me is that the helm chart in the repository is not what the code in current master branch is..you must have built the helm chart from a older code..the current values.yaml file does not work..spent hours with this thing...tried many thing..its really painful going through something as simple as just deploying an app with helm

you dont even have to change anything in the values.yaml file..just specifying a values.yaml and this does not work ever

just trying to run with -f values.yaml will not work..meaning the current values,yaml in current master does not work for the helm chart dgraph/dgraph in the repository https://charts.dgraph.io

I have not seen this issue in the time I have been maintaining the Dgraph helm chart. There was an issue with persistence, which has since been fixed. That particular issue was difficult to solve.
