  1. Rebranding "Voyagerfan5761"

    dgw committed Sep 17, 2011
"Voyagerfan5761" is a deprecated identity. Hybrid of old/new (dgw /
    Voyagerfan5761) for now.

Includes .mailmap file to mask old commit names.

  3. Run CSS through ProCSSor for coding standards

    dgw committed Sep 17, 2011
ProCSSor.com makes the CSS look pretty. Very pretty. No more monster
    single-line selector-property-blocks; now it's all:

    #selector {
        css-property: value;
        another-prop: value-here;
    }

Much easier to read and maintain.

  1. Work around incorrect font bug

    dgw committed Jul 25, 2011
Move font-family and font-size declarations to a new combined
block applying to body and #wrapper. This should prevent serif
(or default) fonts being used in some cases.

  1. Link to Andrei's website

    dgw committed Feb 18, 2011
Because it's only fair. I would've added it along with mine, but I was offline at the time and couldn't remember his address. So this fixes an issue. ;-)

  1. Tweak submenus so they're distinct from parents

    dgw committed Jan 29, 2011
They were certainly functional before, but not having a top border
was looking strange. It was somewhat unclear where the boundaries
    between menu levels were.

With this change, any menu nested beyond the first two levels will
be more clearly defined as a separate entity, with its own borders
to delineate where the parent ends and the child begins.

Just compare the behavior of deeply nested menus in the last commit
to what happens in this one; the change is subtle but effective.

  1. Only rename WP Menus option if necessary

    dgw committed Jan 27, 2011
The update handler only needs to mess with the options if the old
    option exists.

  1. Updated POT file and translation readme

    dgw committed Jan 15, 2011
lightword.pot has latest messages for this version of LightWord.

Added the promised note about quotes to translation-readme.txt
  2. String updates; minor translation-related tweaks

    dgw committed Jan 15, 2011
    * Update some strings
    * Modify all calls to __() or _e() that contained empty strings to use
PHP's in-string variable substitution. This avoids generating annoying
warning messages when updating the POT file in Poedit.
      Example: _e(''.$value['desc'].'') --> _e("{$value['desc']}")
    * Strings containing the " character are always escaped as \" in the POT
file generated by Poedit. Figured it would be best to just use double-
quoted strings in the PHP source in those cases so the escaping is
necessary. If this breaks something, just chalk it up to the l10n
learning curve I'm climbing; I'll put a note about it in the transla-
tion readme file and ask translators to tell me if they notice any
      breakage in their testing.

  1. Fix my own git stupidity

    dgw committed Jan 14, 2011
I amended a published commit (e427659). Bad idea; big mess. git pull,
git add, git commit --amend, etc. etc.

Fail. Note to self: Never, ever edit a commit that's already been sent
to another repository. Let this be a lesson.
  2. New option to set favicon path

    dgw committed Jan 14, 2011
For those who worry about such things, an option to set the location
of the site favicon (or "shortcut icon"). Path is relative to WordPress
    installation URL.

TODO: Make option relative to domain root, not WP installation

  4. Fix custom menu fallback logic

    dgw committed Jan 14, 2011
Properly fall back to the "dumb" menu if something goes wrong in the
wp_nav_menu() call. fallback_cb parameter was (I assume accidentally)
    removed in 793e72a.

"Dumb" menu code from header moved to a function, enabling both
explicitly set and error-induced uses of the basic menu to show the
    same result.

Fixes unstyled menu ugliness under certain conditions, including
WordPress theme preview (when the menu often isn't set up properly)
and cases where the user has the custom menu feature enabled but hasn't
finished setting up the menu or its display location.

  1. WordPress.org isn't part of the www :P

    dgw committed Jan 13, 2011
WP.org is its own little network. Right.

But seriously, I took out the www. part of the footer link to WP.org
because www.wordpress.org just redirects to wordpress.org. No sense
creating all those unnecessary redirects. Think of the time this change
    could save! ;-)
  2. Separate translation working and live directories

    dgw committed Jan 13, 2011
.mo files are the ones used for machine localization; they go in the
/lang/ directory. .po files are used by humans for translation; they
belong in the new /translation/ directory, along with the .pot file
    and translation-readme.txt

At some point (soon) I'll generate a new .pot file so translators can
get to work on the strings I changed.
  3. Sign the readme and authors list

    dgw committed Jan 13, 2011
I feel like I'm making enough contributions to this project that I
can add my name to the contributors. It's taken a while.

  1. Fix settings conditionals (?), rewrite menu output

    dgw committed Jan 12, 2011
Remove unused (?) variable from global statement in functions file

Rewrite menu display logic to avoid use of computationally expensive
preg_replace() function. Now handles "dumb" and custom menus separately,
avoiding the need to find and replace the HTML before sending it to the
    user's browser.

"Home" link option is now only displayed for "dumb" menus. Custom menus
needing such a link should have one inserted manually, in the menu
definition. Long, big upgrade note added to readme; hopefully that will
forestall barrages of "Where did my Home button go???!?!one" questions.

  1. Quote cleanup; fix invalid HTML in one case

    dgw committed Jan 11, 2011
More swapping of " for ' on strings that don't need the extra
processing provided by using "double quotes".

Fixed a case in the sidebox settings that would generate invalid
HTML (missing a closing </a>) under certain conditions.

Removed references to deleted variable $shortname from
functions.php (merged in with 'updatehandler' branch).
  2. Rename confusing WP Menus option; makes sense now

    dgw committed Jan 11, 2011
Before, using WP menus set $lw_use_wp_menus to false, and disabling
them set $lw_use_wp_menus to true. That confused the hell out of me
when I was trying to hack in a fix to the sub-menu breakage last year.

So: I have renamed the option to $lw_use_dumb_menus. Now the values
make sense, and I don't have to rewrite any code (and possibly break
    things in the process).

The newly-merged-in update handler will rename the option in existing
installations so no issues will present themselves.
  3. Merge branch 'grinch': Fully rm Christmas Joy opt.

    dgw committed Jan 11, 2011
The Christmas Joy option has been commented out
for a while. Remove it and the associated files
    for cleanliness.
  4. Merge branch 'updatehandler'

    dgw committed Jan 11, 2011
Update handler tested; bring it forward to master branch.
Modified from branch to work around removal of $shortname
    variable in master.
  5. Code cleanup for options; eliminate $shortname

    dgw committed Jan 11, 2011
Use single quotes instead of double quotes where doubles aren't needed
(double quotes allow parsing the string for variables; using single
quotes eliminates some processing of the string).

Simplify declarations of option names to use 'lw' instead of $shortname
and delete the variable, not used anywhere but the old options array.
