After import/export Tolk produces such results like:

activerecord:
errors:
messages:
accepted: "\xD0\xBC\xD0\xB0\xD1\x94 \xD0\xB1\xD1\x83\xD1\x82\xD0\xB8 \xD0\xBF\xD1\x80\xD0\xB8\xD0\xB9\xD0\xBD\xD1\x8F\xD1\x82\xD0\xB8\xD0\xB9"

@dhh by the way, isn't ya2yaml a requirement or it is just an optional way to deal with UTF-8? In that case, may be force ya2yaml?

When we turn tolk into a gem, we'll add the ya2yaml requirement.

Thanks, dhh.

With gem mentioned it makes correct yml.
But really it is not the best choice - it changes order of keys in language file.
As result it is hard to compare main language file and translation made by tolk.

In any case thanks.

tolk export keys ordered alphabetically, I recommend you process your original language file with ya2yaml too and use that file instead so comparison will be the same :-)
