Currently one needs to go to that particular post by clicking on the time stamp. It is not intuitive.

@Nygu

Aweful bug. :(

Right now, we have a small problem re: this bug and federation.

The way commenting works right now, is that a post owner's pod needs to know about the person commenting/liking a post. There is a case when I am a user on my own site, who is friends with person b, and sends a public post to person b, and person a comments on it. the comment is sent to me, but then I dont know how to verify and federate said comment.

Getting the requirement of "i need to be a contact of you in order to comment on your stuff" was a choice made on purpose (to prevent spam), but it is getting in the way of making this feature work.

@PaulMorris

If it will take some time for a fix, you might consider temporarily adding a more obvious link to the post's page, something like this (hope this markdown works...):

Username -- about an hour ago

Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text. Post text.

Public -- like, reshare, or comment on this post

This would also make it clearer to new folks that anyone can comment, like, and reshare public posts, which may not be clear currently.

@Nygu

Can't you just move the post page functionality into the stream? Apparently it is possible to comment and stuff.

@PaulMorris

@Nygu, looks like this feature is now done! :)
