I think it would be a good idea to remove the Facebook button from the 'Connect Services' panel in the side-column, and also from the compose post box, until the issues with cross-posting to Facebook have been sorted out (if it's decided to sort it out). It's causing a lot of confusion among new and established users - I see the question about why it's not working pretty much every day - and gives the impression to some that Diaspora is 'broken'. I think it would be simpler and less confusing if the buttons were removed during the next update, and reinstated when the connectivity has been fixed.

Well, I hope to have them fixed in the next minor release.

Oh, that's great. I thought it was proving an intractable problem, and the issues re this on Github seem to have been closed. Thanks, and good luck.
